Marathon Man chooses Three Peaks Challenge!

Richard Walsh has three very important people in his life: his gorgeous wife Jane and two beautiful children Evie and Jack. Jane is recovering from postnatal illness and she chose to use both the charity telephone and group support. Richard has been an amazing father throughout this difficult time and wanted to thank our charity in an extraordinary way!

'A few months ago after the last marathon I ran, I was thinking to myself about doing something different to raise money for charity. It was then I thought of the Three Peaks Challenge. A work colleague had completed it in three days. So I thought I'd make it more of a challenge and try it in 24 hours! Your website helped me understand a lot more about postnatal illness and Jane and I were able to communicate a lot better during her recovery. She seemed to feel a lot better every time she spoke with someone at Herts Postnatal Illness Support.'

Richard's challenge begins at 5pm on the 2 September when he climbs Ben Nevis along with his younger brother and work colleague. He has even roped in his Dad to be the designated driver! At 5am he will climb Scaffell Pike and finally at 1pm climb Snowdon! He aims to finish at 5pm on the 3 September.

GOOD LUCK RICHARD WE ARE ALL KEEPING OUR FINGERS CROSSED! THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING OUR CHARITY TO RAISE ESSENTIAL FUNDS!
